It’s been a while since I wrote about trends, but now is a good time to do a trend post! With the new year coming around you can see what to be on the lookout for. Even if you consider yourself more of a trend setter than a trend follower, sometimes it’s nice to at least have an idea of what’s trendy at the moment. Then if you’re anti-trends you can just avoid them 😉

1. Wide-legged pants
These type of pants started to show their face in the fall, and they’re not going anywhere now.

2. Check Print
Still going strong since my last post on fall trends. Maybe this is a good sign to get your own if you haven’t already.

3. Red
Also a fall favorite that’s making its way over. Tip: Red + camel look fab together!

4. Sheer Socks
Why wear boring socks when they can be sheer and have pretty designs on them?

5. Logo Tees
Might as well let everyone know where you got it from and for how much.

6. Beret
The must have accessory that’s not just for french girls.

7. Faux Fur
If you haven’t seen it everywhere already, this is the fashionable way to stay warm in the colder months.

8. Large earrings
Dainty jewelry is taking a backseat for the moment, because earrings are now bigger and better than ever!

9. Subtle details
We may be a bit old for bedazzling, so I think designers had to come up with the adult version of it. Studs, pearls, buckles, and jewels add a nice detail to an otherwise normal piece.

10. Long Layers
Just like the kimonos in the fall, long layers are still going strong.

11. Patent
When “you’re so plastic” could actually be a compliment.

What do you love and hate about the upcoming trends? I love pearl details on clothes the most, but will probably stay away from logo tees. But hey, it’s always fun to try something at least once!

I love the faux fur, red and the big earrings. And the long layers. Great post, I love reading about the trends!
