All the parties have come and gone, but winter has stayed. I’m not totally sick of the snow and cold yet so I’m not complaining, especially when winter fashion means snuggling up in cozy sweaters and chunky knit cardigans. With my new cream chunky cardigan still on that I can’t seem to take off (from 599fashion), I decided to put together some ideas for you on how to wear a chunky cardigan to get us through this winter. Stay warm and stay cute is what I always say! Well not really, but now is a good time to start!
1. cardigan + stripes + ripped skinny jeans + sneakers
This outfit is a mix of cute, casual, and edgy. I love the way cream and stripes look together!
2 . chunky cardigan + white shirt + leggings + sneakers + layered jewelry
I love how this outfit looks effortless and it’s soo comfy. This cardigan is long enough to wear it out with leggings which I like. Accessorize the outfit with dainty gold jewelry for a minimalistic look.
3 . chunky cardigan (belted) + skinny jeans + heels
Wearing a casual cardigan doesn’t mean the outfit can only be casual. Belt it and add heels for a classy- without-trying-too-hard look.
4. chunky cardigan + black jeans + OTK boots + black shirt + hat
A cream colored cardigan pops against an all black ensemble, and the OTK boots and hat make it look posh.
5. chunky cardigan + white skinny jeans + white shirt + neutral shoes
This has been my favorite way to wear the cardigan so far, maybe because I’m really into winter whites at the moment. But an all cream/neutral look looks so great this type of year.
I had to just cap myself at 5, but really there are so many options. Hopefully this helped you break out your cardigan and give you some more styling ideas!
The cardigan, black heels (outfit #3), and brown booties (outfit #5) are all from 599fashion. I also got this really cool white two piece outfit
and this cool gray ribbed dress
I was a little disappointed about the white two piece outfit because I was originally really excited about it but it didn’t work on. The only problem is that it is sheer. It looks awesome if you can look past that 😉 I really don’t know how I can wear this out in public because it’s not one full piece. Great concept, I would just get a different color next time. Everything else I really loved.
So what is 599 fashion like? Well, when you hear of a place where everything is under $10, you might question the quality of it a little bit. I’m pleasantly surprised to report that it doesn’t feel like really cheap items. My two piece item set had a price tag on it for $30 if that helps at all. Think of a concept like TjMaxx (but not high name brand companies) with a quality comparable to Rue21 (though I think 599fashion is cheaper) I’m not lying when I say this cardigan, brown boots, black heels, and gray ribbed dress have quickly become some of my favorite things in my closet. I love the color of the cardigan, the length, the way it fits, the material, and even the fact that it has pockets.
I would recommend checking them out. They have lots of various items, some super trendy some not, but if you dig a little you can find some cute items at a really good price.
Hope that helped and stay warm everybody!
