I’m not really sure what this is so I wasn’t sure what to name this post. I *think* it’s a box for wood for the fireplace. We’re not using it for this now, but some extra seating in the corner of the room. diy fireplace wood box makeover

It was a pretty dark corner and I used some leftover paint to brighten it up a bit!

I started off by painting it just white and then tried to add some brown glaze to match the fireplace mantle. I got a little crazy with the brown and then I had to add some white to even out the brown and next thing I know I had to do 5+ layers to even it out. You know how it goes…

Overall I think it brightened up the corner a lot and I’m happy!
