New York Fashion Week just ended a couple days ago. One of the most highly anticipated events of the year brought stars, bloggers, publicists, and celebrities alike to sit it on this event and watch it all unfold. Someday I think it would be cool to go to an event like this at least once, but my favorite part is seeing all the new clothes that emerge!

It seems like everything comes back in style. News flash: it does. In this post the school girl look, velvet, chokers, pumpkin spice color, and more all made their way around to being in style and made their appearances again at runway. So what does New York Fashion Week predict for us?

There are tons of styles (extra long sleeves, liquid silver, pink suits) that came out of NYFW, but here is my edit of the trends that I think are the most wearable and will most impact your closet. Let’s take a look!

1. Ruffles
When the going gets ruff(le). I love ruffles and girly things, so I’m pretty excited about this one!

Your Closet:
The key it just to tone it down a bit for something you can wear on the streets.

2. Pinstripes
It’s like a business suit all over.

Your Closet:
In order to avoid looking like you’re headed into a corporate meeting, pair it with softer, less business-y pieces.

3. Off the Shoulder & Cold Shoulder
Still going strong, and I must say I can’t complain. It can look very classy!

Your Closet:
You really can’t go wrong, but just balance out the skin exposure by wearing more on the bottom.

4. Slip Dress
These are hot hot in Europe and now they’re making their way to the good ol’ USA.

Your Closet:
Layer the slip dress for less of a lingerie look.

The ruffles are my favorite! Cold shoulder tops are cute as well, I personally couldn’t pull them off but I love the look on other people!
