Madison Farmers’ Market
We love a good farmers’ (farmer’s) market. Heck, it doesn’t even have to be good! 😉 Being early risers (hello #parentlife), we like to have something fun to do on a Saturday morning that everyone in our family can enjoy. It’s always fun to check out the delicious produce, fresh flowers, and yummy treats that a market has to offer. Now that we eat more “off the land” than ever before, it’s more than just fun because we can actually stock up on all our fresh goodies now too!
Though we’re Iowans, Wisconsin has an amazing market that we now, without trying to, go to every year. Last year we went with our itty bitty babe…though he’s not so little anymore! Though, to be fair, he was born at 8 pounds so he was never very little haha.
For those reading that are localish, the market that we love is around the Capitol Square in Madison, WI and though packed, it’s still fun and offers a grassy area for you to people watch, relax, or chase your kid in!

Each stage of a child’s life has its fun and not so fun things. The first time we went to the market with Will I remember we had to wear him and bounce him constantly because he was generally just a very fussy baby for the first 7ish? months of his life. Now this year was the complete opposite haha.
He had a huge smile on his face the whole time and was eating the cheese curds we got him like there’s no tomorrow. But there was no holding him this time 😉 . He was on the move and barely wanted to be held. We’re those parents chasing their one kid wondering what they got themselves into haha. Half joking. It’s worth it though to see him so happy just soaking in the world around him.

The photos above make me laugh. I tried to lure him to me with a stick so I could take a picture with him and he came over, got the stick, and ran off haha. And here I was thinking I could fool him 😉 Looks like I’m the one that got fooled!

If you’ve never been to a market before, I urge you to check it out! It’s a great way to get out, see what’s new in your community, and sample some goodies! Thankfully markets will go for a bit yet, so you have no excuse 😉
And if you live in the area and try out the Madison Farmers’ Market/Dane County Market, let me know what you think of it!
Till next summer, market!

You make the farmer’s market look and sound so appealing! I wish I had the ability to get myself out of bed early enough to make it to the one near me on time. But by the time I’ve rolled out of bed, dealt with my stomach, and gotten ready, it’s usually long over 🙁 Maybe one day I’ll be able to enjoy it for myself. Yours really sounds wonderful!
It would be hard to deal with stomach issues at the same time. I hope you get to enjoy it one day too, girl!
Love this post babe and these pictures with you and your son are so adorable!! Love going to the farmers’ market and love the vibe!! Your outfit is so cute too, that bag is adorable!
