Fall Outfits Inspired by Your Favorite Travel Destinations

I’ve always loved the idea of traveling, but there’s something especially magical about traveling in the fall. Maybe it’s the breathtaking autumn landscapes or the cozy atmosphere that comes with the season, but if you looked at my personal Instagram Explore page, you’d find it filled with aesthetic videos from dreamy destinations that almost make me want to hit *buy ticket*. Alas, jetting off to a new destination every time the seasons change isn’t exactly feasible. The next best thing? Dressing in an outfit inspired by one instead!

1. Milan

Though I haven’t been to Milan, when I think of its fashion, I picture stylish looks that are effortlessly chic, a little unexpected, and full of personal style – complete with a leather accessory, whether it’s a bag, shoes, or a belt. If your fall style leans more artistic or bohemian, this is a great outfit to recreate. The handkerchief skirt sets the tone for an artistic, free-spirited look, while the lady jacket adds a polished touch – exactly the kind of elevated style Italy is known for.

2. Cotswolds

The Cotswold countryside is truly next level, and if this destination has been on your wishlist, I highly recommend you go. Though locals may not necessarily dress like this unless they’re doing yard work (we’re taking some creative liberties here), this outfit is great for encapsulating the casual, rustic vibes of a beautiful autumn setting. Some key pieces for this style are riding boots, a quilted jacket (Barbour is an England-trusted brand), and a touch of cozy Ralph Lauren style.

3. New York City

Strolls through the city, stopping at coffee shops… what’s not to love? It’s hard to pin down NYC style because, well, there is no one main style! That’s one of the things people love most about NYC. You can be who you want, and anything goes. Though if I had to narrow it down, I’d say I’ve observed that it’s “cool girl” style when I’m there. There’s usually an element that leans a little more trendy in the big city, and in this look, it’s the cuffed barrel jeans and sweater scarf combo, balanced out with classic pieces like loafers and a long jacket.

4. London

Speaking of cool girl, that’s what London reminds me of too. And in this outfit, a cape trench coat and a leather skirt steal the show! Wardrobe staples like a white button-up and ankle boots keep the look polished – another thing that European style in general is known for.

5. Paris

Parisian style is something covered extensively here, and there’s no surprise why. I love that Parisian style is a bit more “predictable” – speaking generally here – and that they have wardrobe combinations that are so helpful to follow when creating our own style uniforms. This one – a cardigan, trench coat, jeans, and ankle boots – is a favorite to fall back on year after year, as it never goes out of style!
