When planning out your Rome itinerary, you have to make sure Villa Borghese is on it. Whether you’re into sculptures, beautiful gardens, or museums, there’s something for everyone and for the whole family!

Why Villa Borghese Should Be On Your Rome Itinerary!

If you’re in the midst of planning your trip to Rome and you haven’t come across Villa Borghese yet, then let me be the first one to accept your many thanks of introducing to you a place you’re going to love! 😉

Essentially, Villa Borghese is a landscape garden. And it’s huge. It’s the third largest park in Rome. But because it’s so big, it has a lot to offer. The grounds itself are beautiful, giving me total Parisian vibes. Not like you need Paris vibes in Rome, but if you love Paris like me, then it’s a bonus.

Couples can rent a boat and have a very romantic moment on the water. Just ignore the fact that 10 other people are doing the same thing 😉 Jk, it’s a beautiful setting though!

Everyone can appreciate beautiful architecture, details, and sculptures, which this place has no shortage of.

There’s a gorgeous art gallery for the adults and a zoo for the kiddos! Or the adults too, let’s be real 😉

Because it’s so big, they offer many different ways to get around. As Titus and I were walking around dying in excellent shape, we saw tourists using these motorized bike things to get around and though usually, I’m against cheesy touristy things like that, Titus and I both agreed that if we saw those right away, knowing how big this place was, we would have rented them haha!

I don’t know how much they cost, but because the place is so huge and spread out, it’d be worth saving your energy to walk around the things you really want to see!

And because there’s just so much beauty you don’t want to miss out on!

Were you convinced that Villa Borghese needs to be on your itinerary? Let me know in the comments!

    1. I looked it up- in 1605, a Cardinal started turning this former vineyard into gardens. In 1903 they were given to the public. Hope that helped!

  3. This is one of the only places we didn’t get to go when we visited. I will definitely be going again but this will be on the list.
