If you’re anything like me, finding the perfect pair of jeans feels like hitting the jackpot. Over the years, I’ve tried and tested more pairs of Madewell jeans than I can count, and I’m here to spill the tea on my favorites. Whether you’re hunting for that go-to everyday pair or something with a little flair, I’ve got you covered. Let’s dive into the world of Madewell denim and discover the best of the best!

1. The Perfect Vintage Wide-Leg Jean

Though I love jeans outside of Madewell (Everlane has ones I love too), I’ve gone on record saying that The Perfect Vintage line from Madewell is an all-time favorite – and I stand by it!

These wide-leg jeans have all the comfort and stretch that I love from that line but in a new silhouette that’s different than the classic straight legs. This pair fits so nicely; they are soft and stretchy, but they hold their shape well. They are flattering around the waist, cinching me in without any gaps. Not only is the wider-leg style “in”, but it makes it easier to wear with different shoes, especially boots. These are definitely a keeper!

Wash: Enmore Wash
Fit: True to size

2. Stovepipe Jeans

Are they slim? Are they straight? They’re both. I love this pair because it has a nice straight leg without being too wide or too skinny.

These have the same comfort and stretch as the other jeans Madewell is known for, though keep in mind that the material on these is thinner; it’s somewhere between standard jeans and jean leggings. However, they still hold you in without being restricting, so it’s a win-win!

Wash: Pure White
Fit: True to size

3. The Perfect Vintage Jean

If you want a classic pair of jeans that will always be in style, then this straight-leg is the one worth getting! They hold their shape while offering stretch, and the “just right” fit and silhouette make them current yet classic, perfect for wearing for decades to come.

Wash: Montville wash (My wash from a previous line is sold out so I’m linking to a similar)
Fit: True to size

4. Kick Out Crop Jeans

I have these in black as well as blue, and though they have some negative reviews on the website, they are a go-to for me. Comfort and stretch? Check, check. These have a mid-rise, perfect if you’re looking for something not too high or too low.

My favorite detail is the crop flare look; it’s a little different than your everyday straight leg, but not as dramatic as a wide leg. Perfectly in between! Plus, these jeans are perfect for pairing with ankle boots.

Wash: Schooner Wash
Fit: True to size

5. The Curvy Perfect Vintage Jean

Come spring and summer, these are the jeans I wear the most. The curvy line is for those that have a bigger butt and struggle with pants not fitting well in the waist. Though I don’t necessarily have that issue (womp womp), these are still a great option for those who have curvier figures.

I love wearing these in the warmer weather because of the lighter wash, and they just feel easy to wear! However, there are many washes to choose from. Whatever you choose, you’ll find them so versatile that you’ll want to wear them anywhere. I’ve even worn them on the plane!

Wash: Merle Wash
Fit: Mostly true to size. They lose their shape a bit more than the others, so they can feel slightly big at times.

6. Superwide-Leg Jeans

Though these are a trendier jean style, they’ve still been fun to wear! Because they are loose, they are surprisingly comfortable (though not as comfortable as the others as these have zero stretch FYI).

They fit well throughout the hips and flare out at the bottom. As a bonus, the cuff is already included, so you don’t have to struggle with getting it right each time!

Wash: Fannin Wash
Fit: Slightly big, however, they are meant to have a looser and baggier look.

7. Low-Slung Baggy Jeans

For another trendier look, these jeans are fun to wear if you like this style. With a baggy fit around the legs and a low waist, they may not be a classic jean style, but they can be a great way to try out a trend and have fun with fashion.

They have slight distressing around the knees, adding to that casual and relaxed feel even more. You can dress these up with ankle boots and a trench coat in the fall season, or dress them down with sneakers and a white t-shirt.

Wash: Hamburg Wash
Fit: Could have sized down, though your normal size is good if you don’t mind too much bagginess around the waist. You certainly don’t need to size up to get the loose look!
