The glitz. The glam. What’s not to love about holiday outfits? You have every excuse in the world to look like a walking disco ball! Thankfully dressing for the holiday season isn’t really that hard! It comes down to these 5 things you need to be shining this season.

Add These 5 Things to Get Your Wardrobe Holiday Ready!

1. Sequins
This season isn’t complete without a little bit of sparkle! Sequins add the right touch of pizazz to any look.

2. LRD (little red dress)
You’re going to want a great go-to dress for your holiday events! White is great for summer, black can look good anytime, but I just love how festive a bold red dress is this time of year! The perfect little Christmas number.

3. Plaid
Plaid isn’t just a fall staple. It can be dressed up in the holiday season with skirts and shiny jewelry!

4. Faux fur
Faux fur is great because it looks good on pretty much any outfit! You can throw it on something fancy like an LBD or something casual like a plaid shirt and it will take your outfit to a new level!

5. Velvet
This oh so touchable and luxe fabric is a must! It makes any outfit look more expensive.

Don’t forget your extras!

Hair accessories may look good in your hair, but they also dress up your outfit. Why say no to an extra place to have a little bling? I love the idea of sparkly barrettes like the ones I’m wearing, but I also think turbans, headbands, and clips would be really cute too!

Also, makeup!

I’m no beauty expert, but I do know that you can’t go wrong with darker colored lips and gold eyeshadow.

Whether you have some or all of these things, you’re going to look great this holiday season!

What do you add to your wardrobe to make it holiday ready? Let me know in the comments!

  1. My wife just added some Sequins on Cyber Monday! (Full disclaimer: for years I thought it was “Sequence” because it looked like sparkly chainmail laid in sequence. My wife says I am a true “dude” through and through.)

  2. Yes yes yes to everything on this must have list! I don’t think I ever seen as much sequins ever as I’ve seen this season! But I’m loving all of it!

  3. Wondering if somehow I can find excuses to wear all of these during the holiday season 😉 You sure know how to grab my attention with your cute, festive styles!
