White sneakers are the ultimate fashion chameleons – they blend in with everything! Whether you’re dressing up for a night out or keeping it casual for a weekend brunch, these shoes have got your back. (I mean, your feet!)
Their clean, neutral color means they match any outfit (and wardrobe color palette) without clashing or stealing the spotlight.

Plus, white sneakers have this magical way of making you look effortlessly cool, giving you that model-off-duty look. They can dress down a formal outfit, giving that right amount of “I look good without trying too hard” vibe that we all strive for.
And they’re not just limited to one season! White sneakers can be worn year-round, proving to be a must-have staple in any wardrobe, no matter your age, personal style, or body shape.

How to Style White Sneakers
ATHLEISURE
leggings | sneakers | jacket | hat | bag
Do you live in leggings? Is athleisure in your DNA? Then this is the look for you. For a comfy yet stylish athleisure look, start with some classic white sneakers, of course.
Pair them with your go-to leggings for that sleek, sporty vibe. Toss on a trendy anorak jacket trench coat to keep things cool and weather-appropriate.
A sling bag is perfect for your essentials and adds a casual touch. Top it all off with a baseball cap for that effortless, just-threw-this-on feel. A stylish, casual wear outfit without sacrificing comfort? Yes, please.
Sneakers may be the obvious choice for your casual pieces, but it doesn’t make it any less stylish. No matter the season, you can style these shoes to suit all your casual yet cool looks.
EVERYDAY WEAR
jacket | jeans | sneakers | tee | bag | earrings
White sneakers are a go-to choice for leggings, but look fantastic with jeans too. Going for a more casual look? Build your outfit around classic white jeans.
Add a comfy neutral t-shirt and throw on a classic denim jacket to keep things laid-back yet stylish.
Grab a tote bag to stash all your essentials and pop on some hoop earrings for a touch of flair. The sleek tote bag and elevated hoop earrings sophisticate your look, while sneakers and a denim jacket help bring the casual factor to your outfit.
The white sneakers tie the whole outfit together, making you look effortlessly cool while staying comfy. Perfect for running errands or grabbing coffee with friends.
Want to elevate your everyday casual outfit? Replace your denim jacket with a blazer. The timeless blazer adds class to your look, while the tee and sneakers bring more casual elements, creating an effortlessly chic look!

CLASSIC CHIC
blazer | top | jeans | bag | sneakers
Blazers are a go-to in French style, and if there’s one style that’s mastered casual chic, it’s that one! Taking inspiration from all the street styles I’ve seen in Paris, it’s French-girl-approved to pair a formal item like a blazer with a casual item like sneakers.
Slip into a crisp button-down to match your sleek blazer for that polished yet relaxed look that’s timeless and chic.
Opt for your favorite jeans – whether they’re skinny, straight, cropped flare, straight-leg, or a comfy boyfriend cut, they all work!
Toss in a casual tote bag to keep it stylishly functional. The white sneakers tie it all together, adding a fresh and sporty touch. Perfect for running errands, grabbing brunch, or even a casual Friday at work. Effortlessly chic and comfy – what’s not to love?
DRESS IT UP
dress | coat | bag | earrings | sneakers | bracelet
Nothing screams chic more than a simple black dress and a trench coat! This classic look will make you feel classy and confident, and it’s a signature grab-and-go outfit for days when you don’t know what to wear.
Even a dressier outfit like this looks great with a simple pair of shoes. It might dress it down, but it doesn’t take away from the beauty and simplicity of the look. You’ll still look as chic as ever walking down the street with your coffee in hand.
Just slip on your dress, throw on that trench coat for a touch of sophistication, and add your pearl studs and bracelet for some classic flair. The croc-embossed bag? Total game-changer. It ties everything together, making the whole look effortlessly cool.
Plus, the white sneakers keep you comfy and add a sporty edge. Perfect for anything from brunch to sightseeing in Paris.

How to Shop for The Best White Sneakers
Convinced that white sneakers are a must-have? Are you now wondering what the best sneakers are?
When it comes to shopping for your white sneakers, you don’t just want any sneakers. You want a good pair of high-quality sneakers, because staples like this are meant to last, after all.
The good news about white sneakers is that since they’re such a staple, you’ll find them at just about every retailer, but the bad news is that with all these options, it can be overwhelming to find the best white sneakers for you.
I have tried and researched a lot of sneakers over the years – so let’s get into some recommendations, as well as a few things to keep in mind while you browse, to ease your anxieties and help you find your next personal favorite.
Shoe stress? Don’t know her!
1. Keep it Simple
In order to make it a truly versatile shoe that you’ll get lots of wear out of, you want to find a pair with little to no details on it.
A lot of options out there have some kind of detailing on them, whether that be colored stitching, a scuffed look, or printed designs.
If this is your first pair of sneakers, find a pair that is plain white with a simple look. Then by all means, after that, add to your collection all you want!
On the topic of simple, you want a pair with a simple silhouette too. Though a chunky or platform style can be fun, they are less versatile, meaning they won’t match as many things in your wardrobe.
2. Avoid Distracting Logos
If you stay up to date on what’s popular, you may know about the Golden Goose sneakers. These purposefully dirty, white sneakers are on the feet of (almost) every fashion influencer with a love for athleisure looks and casual shoes.
Even though they are technically white, they have a distinct pattern and logo, and though there’s nothing wrong with these shoes, they shouldn’t replace your classic white pair as it’s harder to pair with a dress or other elevated looks.
As far as other popular shoes, Adidas is in the spotlight in a big way. Though some of these styles are bold, there are some that are more subtle.
When shoe shopping, try to find a shoe without a logo, or if it does have one, make sure it’s discreet, subtle, and neutral!
3. Comfort Matters
You don’t have to sacrifice fashion for comfort! These will be shoes you reach for again and again, so you want to enjoy wearing them.
Whether you’re grabbing brunch with your best friends, taking the kids to the zoo, sightseeing in Paris, or running errands, you deserve to feel confident and comfortable.
Wherever you are and whatever you’re doing, you’re going to have a better time in comfy shoes, so this isn’t a place to skimp. (There are still some affordable options, however!)
Ready to shop? Here are great options!
The Best White Sneakers
1. For Sustainability and Comfort: Veja Esplar Sneaker
Veja sneakers are extremely popular in Paris, and when I was there, I was influenced so I got a pair when I got home. I don’t regret it!
First off, they’re stylish (in a subtle way), so you can wear them all the time. Plus, they’re made from eco-friendly materials, which means you’re doing your bit for the planet while looking cool.
They’re also really comfy, so your feet will thank you. You can feel good about where your shoes come from too, thanks to the brand’s transparency and ethical production practices.
2. For Value: Quince 100% Leather Everyday Sneaker
Quince’s sneakers are a fantastic choice for a bunch of reasons! First, let’s talk about the price point. At just $79, these are a great price point for an item you’ll keep in constant rotation.
With items you know will wear a lot, the price per wear is something to consider more than the upfront cost. I’m willing to spend more on an item that will be durable enough to last for years, but even better if it won’t break the bank!
The full leather construction means they’re durable and get more comfy with every wear. Plus, leather is naturally breathable, so your feet stay cool and happy. And let’s not forget, Quince is known for quality and affordability, so you’re getting premium kicks without breaking the bank.
3. For Sustainability and Versatility: Everlane The Day Sneaker
Not only are they comfortable, but they’re simple, sleek, and go with anything in your wardrobe. Made with sustainably sourced and recycled materials, you can feel good about wearing them, too.
Plus, they’re designed to be breathable and durable, so they’ll last through all your daily adventures! Whether you’re running errands, heading to work, or just hanging out with friends, these sneakers will keep your feet happy and stylish.
4. For a Current Style: Adidas Gender Inclusive Samba OG Sneaker
If you’re on the hunt for something simple that still gives a current and trendy look, then this Adidas pair is a top pick.
These kicks are designed to fit anyone, regardless of gender, making them super versatile. Plus, they’re a classic with a modern twist, so they go with any outfit, without sacrificing style or comfort.
These have a cult following and reviews say the quality is top-notch, offering great durability and comfort for everyday wear. Whether you’re heading to a casual outing or just running errands, these sneakers have got you covered. Trust me, your feet will thank you!
5. For a Casual Look: Madewell Sidewalk Low-Top Sneakers
Made with high-quality materials, this pair from Madewell is durable and long-lasting. They even have a cushy insole for extra support.
The subtle platform and subtle detailing make this a great pair for those with an edgier, more casual look. Whether you’re running errands, traveling, or just chilling with friends, these sneakers are a bestseller.
6. For Making Your Legs Look Longer: Lucky Dansbey Leather Side Dip Sneaker
Want to elongate your legs? The way they are cut makes the top of the shoe taper down and show off more of the side of your foot. Since there is no harsh stop between your leg and your shoe, it gives the illusion that your leg is longer!
As a bonus, the cutout on the side is simple enough to where it is not distracting, but adds enough character for an elevated basic.
However, keep in mind that though once a best seller, some reviewers have stated that the quality has gone downhill.

Could you tell me here the special article for omen over 50+ are?
I will leave a link for you right here!

Have you LOST YOUR MIND?!! A TENNIS SHOE?! What has fashion lowered itself to. I’m Praying you are sooooo WRONG!!!!!!
No, she’s not wrong. Look around… you will see them everywhere.
Ain’t nothin’ new. Check out Audrey Hepburn rocking white tenni’s.:

Oh, how I agree with ypu. I have been trying to get a low eel boot but they are all heavy workman-like boots. There is no elegance in dress anymore. I wear loafers, ballet pumps and low heel pretty leather boots, when I can find them at a reasonable price, when they are available. Femininity has become a swear word these days.
I tend to agree with you. I thought you wore white tennis shoes to play tennis, go grocery shopping, or go to the plant center. That doesn’t help or influence me if a celebrity wears them anytime!
No, she’s not wrong. Look around… you will see them everywhere.
See them everywhere doesn’t make them chic and more than they “elongate” legs.
Sneakers with a fancy dress? NEVER.
Sneakers with jeans, sweats, shorts absolutely . With a very casual dress, maybe.
I know this isn’t everyone’s opinion. But please it’s like the world has given up on looking good.
Do you have links to the clothes you have pictured?
Soon nasty weather will be occurring in the Northeast. Sneakers do not spare your feet from cold and wet. And also, just because everyone… doesn’t make it right. Just lazy.
I think you’re taking this article too literally. Example: you wouldn’t wear sandals in snowy weather.
No, sorry. The white sneakers can only be dressed up so much. They can be used in many situations but they are not so great with the little black dress . I love dressing casually too, but it’s just not for every occasion.
I totally agree with Sharon! Sneakers are for sports outfits, not nice dresses!! The way people dress nowadays in general is pathetic!! And some things you see in public is just plain disgusting! People don’t care how they look anymore! Judith was right…laziness!
I love that style, any age can wear them and they look marvelous with whatever you’re wearing. I agree best shoes ever. I am 63 and I love fashion forward. Gone are the days that being 60 meant that you had to dress like An old lady. For those that don’t think so. That’s fine. Nobody is making you wear them, but don’t ruin somebody else’s thoughts.
Well said! Totally agree. 👏🏼👏🏼
One of my previous employers would only allow tennis shoes/sneakers only with a doctor note.
One of my previous employers would allow tennis/sneakers only with a doctor note it charity benefit events for casual day
Definitely have to take your own work dress code into consideration!
GAG! White sneakers are a) for athletic wear, and b) maybe to wear with jeans if you are really interested in very outdated fashion. I’m all for comfort, especially as I have severe permanent damage to my feet; nevertheless, have some pride in yourself and take the extra hour to shop for comfortable, fashionable footwear so you don’t look like you walked out of a K-Mart in the 1980s.
I seriously doubt you have spent much time in Paris other than being a tourist because this article is so wrong. I, however, do live there and have for 7 years and have never seen anybody wear white sneakers with anything other than casual clothing. The more fashionable Italian women wear sneakers with many casual outfits and I am very certain that they wouldn’t be caught dead wearing white sneakers with anything other than casual although their casual dressing is on a higher plane, but still NOT evening wear.
The article should be titled “the shoes that go with everything CASUAL.” When I clicked in to this I was expecting a nice black flat.
I disagree with wearing “sneakers” with everything! I feel it’s proper to wear something fitting for the occasion. You can get comfortable casual, and dressy shoes if you take a little time to find out exactly what you need for your own foot. I have had to wear comfortable, good arch support shoes since I was a young girl.
Yes, there are plenty of times when you would want to wear comfortable “sneakers”, but then wear clothing that goes well with them. I realize that when people have to walk a long way every day to work etc, that they may have to wear them, but then they should change after they arrive.
I remember, (and I’m from central US) when this all started, wearing “sneakers” instead of
comfortable nice shoes. It started on the west coast in bigger cities, and it sure stayed in style more than any shoes or clothes I know of. I think by now there is a better solution!
