Sure, technically you can travel year-round, but there’s something special about traveling in the summer. The warmth, the sunshine, and the delicious cold treats (gelato, anyone?) just feel like summer! Though a tropical vacation is always waiting for you (and best experienced in the winter, IMO), most other destinations are more fun to experience when the temperatures have risen to a pleasant level. After doing Part 1 of my summer vacation outfit inspo, I realized I have much more to share! Keep scrolling for Part 2.
1. Summer Vacation Outfits: Paris
dress | heels |earrings | hair clip | bag
Is there a bad time to visit Paris? I don’t think so. That being said, if you can’t be in Paris this summer, at least you can be in a Parisian state of mind – and so much of that depends on your outfit. This is a great outfit to recreate without flying across the Atlantic. A wicker basket bag (inspired by French girl Jane Birkin) is a beautiful, unexpected touch with this lace-detail white dress – very Parisian. Gold accessories and slingback heels add a feminine touch, perfect for rooftop cocktails or a classy patio lunch.
2. Summer Vacation Outfits: Michigan
shorts | sandals | hat | shirt | bracelet
Though the East Coast is romanticized for its cute coastal charm, the Midwestern state of Michigan may surprise you! Places like Saugatuck and South Haven have a small-town harbor charm that may be cheaper and easier to get to. Keep the outfit cute and casual with denim shorts and a white puff-sleeve blouse. These simple staples shine with accessories like a bracelet, straw bucket hat, and sandals.
3. Summer Vacation Outfits: New England
tote | sweatshirt | shorts | sandals | earrings
Truthfully, I don’t know if this lighthouse shot is from New England or not, but the East Coast vibe is there at least! I’ll always fall back on a red, white, and navy color combo for nautical vibes – it never fails. Key pieces like fisherman sandals and a boat tote are perfect for the look. For a cute, quirky touch, lean into the sardine details.
4. Summer Vacation Outfits: Spain
shoes | pants | bag | top | sunglasses
Whereas European style in some places like France and Italy may lean more chic, places like Spain have a trendier, more colorful vibe that you can match your outfits to. Find yourself on a European tour? Stick with the basics – like linen pants and a tank top – and add colorful accents like red sandals, a red headscarf, and a red purse for a stylish Spanish (yet subtle) vibe.

5. Summer Vacation Outfits: Biarritz (French Coast)
shoes | jeans | shirt | bag | sunglasses
“La mer” is French for “the ocean” or “the sea,” so it’s only fitting to wear this to a laid-back French coastal town where you wrap your hair up in a claw clip and stroll down the promenade with gelato. Keep treasures in your cute bucket bag, like your digital camera and your backup croissant. It doesn’t get much better than that!
6. Summer Vacation Outfits: Montauk
sweater | sandals | jeans | tote
A long-sleeve sweater and white jeans are perfect for a breezy, sandy walk down the beach. And maybe you can hold onto your bucket hat and laugh like you’re in a movie. That scene of Diane Keaton in Something’s Gotta Give is permanently etched in my mind. Collect treasures in your tote bag – appropriately named Montauk.
