I always look forward to the moment where I do the ol’ switcheroo: swapping my summer clothes for fall ones. It’s gradual, at first, maybe a few pieces or colors here and there, but then next thing you know, you’ve turned the corner to a new season! Whether you’re at the point where you’re incorporating a few pieces, or you’re looking to do the whole closet swap, it’s always fun to start wearing some colors that just scream “fall”. Here is part 2 of fall color outfits using classic autumn colors!
1. Chocolate Brown + Maroon
pants | cardigan | heels | watch | bag | earrings | top
If you need an office work outfit that feels like fall, this is a good one to copy! This color combo is always so pleasing, and if you want to take a break from wearing black, chocolate brown is a great alternative. Finding ways to carry the colors throughout the whole look is a nice way to add some coordination and cohesiveness.
2. Forest Green + Brown
Green is a solid color to wear for fall. As a bonus, it always makes your outfits feel fresh! Plus, it pairs well with brown (and black). To lean into preppy fall vibes, pair a green henley with a mini skirt and tall boots.
3. Red + Camel
sweater | necklace | bag | pants | shoes
Red and camel is a classy yet fun color combo that also looks great in winter. With a base of camel/tan bottoms, the red top really shines! Of course, I can’t resist adding a punch of print to this look – leopard print pairs well with almost anything!
4. Navy Blue + Chocolate Brown
flats | earrings | bag | cardigan | jeans
This autumn color combo is darker and moodier, giving a bit more of a sophisticated look. Plus, the jeans, ballet flats, and cardigan combination is very chic and Parisian-inspired. To lean into the chic vibes, complete your outfit with a chic top handle bag!
5. Chocolate Brown + Baby Blue
dress | cardigan | flats | necklace | bag
You’ll see lots of navy and dark blue in the fall, and though there’s nothing wrong with that, here is an unexpected idea: baby blue! Pairing a fall color (chocolate brown) with a spring/summer one (baby blue) is a great way to create a summer-to-fall transition outfit, or great if you live in a warmer, more tropical climate.
6. Navy + Ochre
It’s nice when one clothing item combines multiple fall colors – it makes completing the outfit easy! Matching the colors in that one item to the rest of your accessories is one of the best ways to create an outfit that looks planned and well thought out.
7. Navy + Red + Chocolate Brown
shoes | hat | coat | shirt | bag | jeans
For a cute casual yet cool outfit for the weekend, this is one to copy. Chocolate brown has been a trendier fall color for a while now, and it looks youthful and fun when paired with a trendy bag, boat shoes, and a Ralph Lauren hat. The rugby shirt gives all the fall vibes while also brightening up the look with its red and blue shades!
