Though I love shopping as much as the next girl, this blog has always been focused less on shopping and more on making the most out of what you have. And what better way to make the most out of what you have than with 46+ outfits out of just 20 pieces? Say what?? Yep, that's right. I'm going to show you how to create many, many capsule outfits using minimal clothing pieces. These looks are all easy to recreate. In fact, you should have these things in your wardrobe already! Best part? These outfits are timeless. Meaning you'll always look chic and your wardrobe will stand the test of time!
This post will be photo heavy because really, you don't need me to talk! But I will list more resources at the end.
Now let's get into it!
Capsule Outfits That Build a Timeless Wardrobe
First, below are the pieces that I used for this post.
I used about 20 pieces for mine (didn't get a photo of the gold watch I wore). Of course, it goes without saying that everyone's capsule wardrobe will look a little different and the pieces you choose/want will be different than mine.
Now, I'll take the key pieces in the photo above and show you all the ways I styled them! You may seem some repeats and that's okay, in fact, that's part of the point! 😉

Now, I'm going to put most of them together so you can see that while using the same pieces, they all still look pretty different!
Okay, so now where should you shop??
I'll always recommend H&M as a chic, budget-friendly place for those that can't (or don't want to) afford sustainable fashion. But if you're looking for sustainable yet timeless pieces, try Sezane, Madewell, and Everlane.

And this, my dear, is why I love you. I've been feeling SO uninspired lately with my outfits, and while I've been trying to get creative, instead I was feeling frustrated. So, THANK YOU for sharing this. I have nearly all these pieces - or some variation of them - and I can't wait to begin layering and trying new looks!
Aw thank you so much, Stephanie! It's hard to feel inspired during this time so I'm really happy that this post may help! Can't wait to see what you do!
Love all of the outfits you put together! I’ve always wanted to try to do this but have little patience to actual do it. This definitely has inspired me!
I'm so happy that it's inspired you! I think you'll love it if you try it!
I needed to see this. Capsule wardrobes are hard for me but you’ve done a great job! I should try it
It's a great way to get the most out of your wardrobe!
I am in LOVE with that camel blazer! Also love how you styled it in so many ways.
Such a great piece isn't it! And thanks!
First I want to say, thank you so much for not including leggings in your capsule wardrobe! This post is very well thought out and your outfits are creative!
Haha leggings aren't in my capsule wardrobe but it's okay if they're in someone else's 😉 Thanks for the nice comment!
Oh my! That was so much work to put that all together - great job! I love the cardigan worn backward. Such a great idea!
It was a lot of work haha! So glad you liked that idea!
I love this!! This is exactly why I focus on investing in pieces that will last and are versatile. While I like trends, classic wardrobe staples will never go out of style.
Yes, yes, and yes! Love that you focus on that.
SO SO SO cute!!! I have almost all of these pieces in my closet and haven't made 90% of these combinations! Definitely going to recreate some of these asap!! Thank you!
Thank you! I'm so happy that you'll recreate some!
I'm obsessed with that blazer! So cute and versatile!
I love versatile pieces!
