This post will help you stick to the basics so you can spend less time stressing about outfits… and more time soaking up everything summer has to offer!

I love the casual ease that denim shorts and a linen button-up offer. It’s a great combination on its own, but it also works perfectly layered over a swimsuit or paired with a bodysuit underneath. It’s the perfect way to stay cool — and be ready for an impromptu pool party at any moment! Extra style points: Wear your linen button-up open over your swimsuit or bodysuit, or cuff the sleeves for an effortlessly chic look.

A white-on-white color combination is perfect for effortless summer dressing. This monochromatic outfit gives off a relaxed, carefree vibe – exactly the kind of energy you want in your summer style. To elevate this simple foundation, mix in different textures like a straw hat, a raffia bag, leather sandals, and gold earrings.

I love incorporating a linen vest into my summer outfits – especially on those hotter-than-hot days! The sleeveless style keeps you cool while the silhouette keeps you looking polished. Some days you just need an easy (yet still good-looking) outfit. That’s where a maxi dress comes in handy. I love throwing on a linen dress for effortless summer dressing. The best part is that you can easily customize this look, too! If you want more arm coverage, layer it with a linen button-up (worn open with the sleeves cuffed). If you want to accessorize, add a hat, sunglasses, and gold jewelry for an extra touch of polish.

I know this outfit may look a little “warm,” but with cotton and linen, it’s more breathable than you might think! With a boxy shirt like this, I like to cuff and roll the sleeves (I have this same shirt) for an even more breathable feel. That said, if your climate is too warm, feel free to swap it for a short-sleeve shirt instead. And if your legs have seen enough sun, opt for a pair of breezy linen pants. To complete the look, sandals, a straw bag, and hoop earrings are always a great choice.
