Ah, the day of love! Maybe you hate it. Maybe you love it. But either way, it’s coming soon! Whether you find yourself going to a fancy dinner or grabbing lunch with your friends this Valentine’s day, here are 6 valentine’s day outfits that are easy to recreate and for every occasion!

Valentine’s Day Outfit Ideas for Every Occasion

1. Bold red dress

Move over LBD, a bold red dress is having its moment! Yes, red is expected, but it’s Valentine’s Day after all! By pairing it with black heels instead of pink, you look classy-not cheesy!
Wear it to: date night/dinner, business/work event

2. slip dress + long coat

This outfit is on the luxurious looking side, but it’s good to be covered for whatever life may throw at you, right? 😉 You can add in touches of “Valentine’s Day” with red nail polish and a bold red lip!

Wear it to: classy plans such as a high-end restaurant, classy dinner party at your CEO’s house, a show or musical in the city

3. pink tweed blazer + fancy blouse + dress pants

By bringing in some red (or pink) to your outfit, you can still dress for the day while looking professional and not having your outfit covered in hearts! Extra professional points if that red or pink happens to be in an already professional workwear piece…like a blazer!
Wear it to: work

top (local boutique, similar) | blazer (thrifted, similar here and here) | dress pants (old, similar) | shoes

4. red top + black bralette + jeans + boots

Cute, casual, and simple! Easy to wear and put together, yet you can celebrate Valentine’s Day in style!

Wear it to: day date, lunch with friends, Galentine’s day

top (thrifted, similar here and here) | boots (Rue21, similar here and here)

5. black cami + pink bralette + jeans + heels

This look is fun and casual when topped off with some heart sunglasses! Cheesy? Nah, it’s cute! 😉 Throw on a cute bomber or moto jacket for the chilly weather!

Wear it to: casual date night, drinks with friends or your man

top (boohoo, similar) | jeans | sunglasses (rue21, similar)

6. black cami + pink bralette + jeans + heels

This look is a bit edgier and makes for a great night look, whether it’s movies with your hunny or painting the town red with your girls!

Wear it to: movie night, night on the town

leggings | boots (rue21, similar) | top (similar) | sunglasses (similar) | cardigan (similar)

My staying in outfit of choice? Leggings, a sweatshirt, and my robe! Though that one isn’t pictured because it’s not all that exciting to photograph haha.

I hope this post helped you with your Valentine’s Day outfit ideas!

Any special plans?

Honestly, at this stage in my life, getting take out, having a hot bath, and going to bed early is my night of choice! #lit 😉

  1. I love that while you had the touches of traditional pink and red in these outfits, you also included some fabulous black and white basics, and lots of great texture! I think I’d be most likely to reach for outfits 4 and 6 – but they’re all seriously gorgeous!

  2. I LOVE every one of these looks! I think I’m going to have a casual night in with the fiance on Valentine’s Day this year (we’re saving for our wedding) so I think I’ll opt for my version of your outfit number 5 🙂
