Perhaps you’re bored with your closet and you need some new style hacks. Or maybe the holidays wiped you clean and you want some new pieces, but your clothing budget is nada. The easiest way to make it seem like you have new clothes is by shopping in your closet…but in a new way. By “shopping” in the offseason part of your closet, you can have new pieces to wear for winter! Enter these styling hacks.

What to do with your sleeveless dresses…

Recreate the look: sweater (similar) | dress (similar) | boots (similar)

Take your sleeveless dresses and wear them over a cozy sweater! Not only will this keep you warm, but this extra layering looks stylish too. Keep in mind that not all of your summer dresses would work best for this. Keep your bright-colored summer dresses packed away until summer, as dresses in darker colors would work better for winter.

Pair your dress with tall boots or ankle boots with leggings or tights.

What to do with your crop tops…

Recreate the look: cropped tank (similar) | leggings (similar) | ankle boots (similar)

Put crop tops over a graphic tee for a cool edgy vibe. Leather pants and ankle boots will lean into that street style vibe even more! Try to make your bottoms and boots both black, so your legs look miles long!

What to do with your off-the-shoulder tops…

Recreate the look: sweater (similar) | jeans (similar) | boots (similar) | bag (similar)

In the summer, you probably loved having the sun kiss your shoulders. And though we’ll be dreaming of the moment when that can happen again, in the meantime, we can still wear our off-the-shoulder tops!

Making them work for winter is simple. Just wear them over a turtleneck. Not only will it provide the much-needed warmth, but a unique layer like this ups your style!

What to do with your denim shorts…

Recreate the look: faux fur vest (similar) | tights (similar) | heels (similar)

You’ve got yourself a cool and unique look when you pair denim shorts with tights or leggings. For something truly unique, you can even get colored tights!

I double layered this basic tee with a blazer and a faux fur vest. The faux fur adds that winter touch!

All that’s needed is a little bit of creativity to stretch your wardrobe and your style, no matter the season. For more tips like this, keep reading!
