Gardening is one of my favorite things to do and even though it’s a lot of work, I love the reward of seeing my plants grow and my flowers bloom.

What I love even more though is getting to cut the flowers and bring them inside. Then I get to enjoy them all the time! My peonies are blooming and my hollyhocks are *this close*…eek!

We don’t do a lot of herbs or any veggies right now, but I’d like to get more into that as I’ve been eating more and more “off the land” these past years.

Today, I just wanted to share a spontaneous shoot we did in our garden recently. The light was perfect after dinner and well, you know I can’t pass up a good photo opportunity 😉

One of my favorite things about summer is that golden glow you get right before the sun sets. I can’t handle too many gloomy days!

What are your favorite things about summer?

  1. These photos are so dreamy and gorgeous! I love a good photo shoot, and you nailed it with this one! Also – I love your hair, it is soooo pretty!

  2. What a lovely garden! Your photos are amazing. I like how you considered the lighting, too. It’s such an important element.

  3. I can’t believe this is YOUR garden! It looks like something out of a movie. So beautiful – just like these photos – just like YOU. I am sooo not a fan of summer (cold weather PLEASE) but I guess the one thing I could say that I like about the season is the ability to hang out at rooftop bars!

    1. Oh wow, thank you for the compliments! And crazy that you don’t like summer! You might be the only one I know 🙂
